A lot has gone on since my last update. First, painted the wheels and frame and got the bike back into a roller. Then the motor went back in as well as a few other parts. Played around with some paint on the fender. Test fit. Went crazy on it a few days last week and threw the rest of it together. And here it is today on the maiden voyage into the QC. The bike feels absolutely awesome to ride, especially after seeing it for the last 6 months in pieces in my garage. I decided to ditch the rear fender because it just looks too cool with out it. Also the muffler fell off going down a country road and i lost it into a bean field..... so looks like its open header from here on out There are still a few things that need to be addressed like paint on the tank and i need to figure out how to tune the carbs because they are badly out of whack. So ill be posting a few more pics with the final changes/tweeks. Thanks for looking -Tyler

I want to say something negative so bad about this, but I just can't, it looks really cool. I like the fender on it personally! Nice job Tyler!

Well i think i finally found the issue with the bike. Heres a bit of background: Iv been running in circles with these carburators for a month now. Been through countless jet and needle combinations. I got a dyno jet jet and needle kit, a carb syncer, and finally decided to pull the wideband out of the camaro and put it on the bike. After seeing that the air fuel was very random and wasnt responding to jet and needle changes as i should, i started looking for another issue. Here what i found

Its been a while since iv posted anything about the bike but a lot has gone on so here it goes. Over the winter i replaced the ignition with a dyna s unit to take care of my condenser issue from last fall. Here is a pic over the winter with all the painted stuff on it Next we loaded the bike into the truck and hauled it out to cordova Here is a video of fast4eyes running the bike at the track for me since im a newb at the track on a bike and had some less than impressive times His best was 11.8 @ 110 s133.photobucket.com/user/TylerSandau07/media/Bike%20Build/20130427_160507_zps95c282c5.mp4.htmlJust last week I road it out to rally on the river and got talked into throwing it on the dyno. s133.photobucket.com/user/TylerSandau07/media/Bike%20Build/GS1000dynovid_zpsc8abd134.mp4.htmlHere is the sheet from the run. As you can hopefully see, it was pretty rich in the 4-7K range so the torque and power suffered there. A bit of tuning this summer on it and it should run much better. Overall iv been very impressed with what this old bike has done. It is awesome to ride and gets looks and comment everywhere I go on it. Thanks for looking -Tyler

Any idea of how much money you've got wrapped up into this? After the trans am sells I'm gonna be looking for a cheap/fun project and really been looking into something similar. Props, bike looks awesome.

I would say probably 1500 and that might be a bit high. I got a really good deal on the bike and almost made back what I paid by selling all the junk off it that I didnt use.
