End of the season! Last chance to make a pass at Cordova with the supercharger set up. Had a rough start since I had to relearn how to drive the car all over again (let's face it...I never knew how to anyway). The car just blows the tires away in 1st gear, so next year I'll play with air pressure a bit more and work on doing burnouts for a LOT longer to get heat in the tires.
My best pass today was 11.7 @ 126mph with a 1.968 60ft. Here is the video from that run.
Will try again next year!

Nice time considering how much of a change you've made in power. A lot left in it so I look forward to seeing you work that ET down where it belongs. .

The main thing is you beat that big tired car rowing gears! Thats a win in itself!

Another update for the Z. Car is being dropped off at Speed Inc again at the end of the month for a Forged LS6 build. Project time is 4-6 weeks. Goal is to have it back and ready to go before the 1/2 Mile Shootout on June 1.
Also going with a blower cam and swapping pulleys to raise boost from 10lbs to 12-15lb of boost. Whichever gets us to the power goal.

What you gonna do with your stock stuff? intrested in the cam and springs Everything will be up for sale. I still have stuff from the supercharger install, though I need to get better at checking the for sale forum too. Currently, offhand I know I have Hotchkis Swaybars, stock fuel pump, injectors, spark plugs, clutch (what's left of the assembly, s8er01z can help here), belt tensioner, and Halltech Venom Intake. I'll have the 01 LS6 cam, valve springs, pushrods, timing chain, Turbosmart BOV, and Lingenfelter fuel pump to sell after the motor work.

Matt I have the pressure plate so I believe you have flywheel and clutch left.

Also will have stock rods, pistons, rings, bearings, studs, etc. Not a clue what is reusable after the build, but I'll figure that out after its done. Everything has 46k miles of use.

The stock engine parts (pistons, rods, bearings, etc) aren't really worth much, but have you thought about buying a cheap rebuilder to use for the built motor and either keeping your stock engine, or selling it off as a complete unit to offset some costs of the build??

Can you still purchase new LS6 blocks for ~$1000?

I had considered it and priced out new blocks. I had decided if I was going to a new block, it would be an LS3. However, it's quite a bit more. Then everything needed to do the conversion on top of that. Same with an LS2, though obviously not near as bad as an LS3. I did some searching on used LS6 and LS1 shortblocks and they just didn't seem to be worth a whole lot. Plus I'd have to add a crank, which they are reusing.

I'm running a Lingenfelter pump and boost a pump right now. If you want them, they are yours. Just shoot me a message if you want them.

Things are moving along. New engine is built and at the shop. It's being installed this week. Scheduled to be on the dyno next week for break in and tuning. Hope to have it back next weekend, but no guarantee yet. Some random photos.
