I take it they didnt prosecute if you got a settlement. Or did she sue you? Didn't have to. We both have State Farm. They just gave it to her. No court or anything. They gave her $5k like 2 weeks after the accident, and the rest of my policy about a month later.

It's got a custom tune, K&N drop in filter, and VF Engineering rear motor mount. I don't really have anything else planned as far as mods go.
I have black wheels with polished lips ordered as well as new tires. Those will be mounted up when the weather starts to warm up.

I should note that my car currently looks nothing like the pictures. When I did my heads/cam swap I bought a new 160 t-stat from auto zone. The only problem is that they gave me one for a standard sbc and not for an LT1. So it overheated in my driveway when we were trying to bleed the coolant lines. Ended up warping the heads, and spinning a bearing. Right now the car is on blocks in my garage with the engine on a stand and the trans right next to it. Will be sending the block and heads to Gustafs in the near future. Andy

Hey schult or anybody, you know of a good shop local where they know their stuff on LT1s? I may need more power in the near future.

Honestly I've been looking around to have some things done to get back up and running. I hear Abraham's and Gustaf's do great machine work, if you are looking to go with a stroker. For heads/cam I highly recommend Lloyd Elliot out of Texas. You send him your castings and he ports and rebuilds them and you can get a custom cam to match the heads. He is by far the cheapest and my heads are great. Here are the flow numbers from a set of gm aluminum castings that he ported: .2 137/105 .3 196/142 .4 243/166 .5 273/182 .6 283/194 His websites: www.eportworks.comI'll be having Gustafs rebuild my motor soon, so I will let you know what I think about them.

Oh yeah, if you want some computer work done try Ian. www.madz28.com He's somewhat local (Chicago area I think). If you have access to a laptop he can email you a tune, you can then check everything with the laptop and he will send you another tune to get everything perfect. You'll probably need to buy a cable, to hook the car to the laptop. I'm guessing that your car has OBDII. AKM cables sells them fairly reasonable, I bought one used for OBDI off of camaroz28.com classifieds.

I'm goin with PCM4less.com as soon as I can find a spare PCM for my car while I send my PCM for tuning. I'm "poor" so the Caprice is my daily driver. Crazy weather we've been getting because the pic in my sig is only 2 weeks old.

Yikes on Gustaf, I almost spit my drink out....I wouldnt let them bore my lawnmower engine. Known as the WORST machine shop in the area.
Abrahams....well.......not my stuff.
American Speed does quality work......they know some LT1 stuff too. This coming from the original LT1-buster
