First off Joe, its not my car, I work on it. If the owner doesn't want a cage in it, so be it. I feel 110% comfortable behind the wheel, and to me that's what matters. Id love to be able to be racing my own caged up car, but its just not gonna happen this year with all I got going on. And my question still stands, what does the owner of the car not wanting a cage in it affect what the car should get for land in a race? Hell, it should be faster without a cage since it's lighter, am I right? |

Yeah dont ask me to lock in anything, 3 months from now anyone of us could have anything. I don't know what you're bring to race my "crawlin, slow, turd". We are putting this together so use that as me being "locked in". But ill be down to work out details when we get close or day of! I don't see poker players making their final hand bets 3 months before the tourney.
Show up on a 28x10.5 or you'll be making exhibition hits all day or maybe some of the Chicago grudge guys will want some.

Nobody said we are giving you heads up on a 28x10.5... But if you want to get in the hat race with whatever car, you will have your chance heads up. Don't get it twisted, we aren't locking into some stupid race. I know you guys are all about heads up, but who wouldnt be with proven cars with more hp!

What does Scotty's Nova have anything to do with this conversation? Scott still tries to set up races all the time and if my memory serves me right has attempted multiple times to setup races with you that never happen. He has even admitted he is major underdog against whatever you're building and has stated he will still "donate" money to you. Like I said I got nothing against people who don't want to cage a certain car, everyone wants different things out of their car, but please, please just grow a pair and stop using bullshit things to try to get land in a race...

Scotty n I were locked up.. due to un-forseen circumstances my car was unable to make it to the track. So Scott got my part of the lock up money(I donated to him). And I agreed to race Ed heads up..I have nothing for his sons car seeing as he can guarantee dougs car "won't touch him in the 1/8th".

To Joe... A roll cage helps strengthen the chassis, making it more stable, and efficient(faster 60fts.. and so on), without a good strong foundation you waste energy that could be put to the ground, into chassis flex and so forth.. it doesn't take w.j to figure that out.

Well Joe, among other things, a parachute signifies that a particular car has or can go 150mph in the 1320. So yes through deductive reasoning we can assume a car with one does so and as such is of the bottom 9 second variety or much faster.
Your money is at stake in grudge racing so you tend to take simple cues such as these into account when negotiating a race. If you choose not to consider these things then you either like losing or just have such a fast car it doesnt matter. Brandon is neither with whatever heavyweight jalopy deathtrap he plans to show up with.

Doug, I do realize a car needs a chute after 150mph but that is not to say any random car that goes maybe 125mph doesn't have a chute on it for a little extra safety. I just honestly get a laugh out of how much bullshit spills out of Brandon's mouth. But I guess it's just to be expected from this clown.
But the fact remains... No one in their right mind who is grudge racing would have a chute on their 125mph car... just explaining grudge thought process.
