Awe, shit. No pressure, right!? Looks like I won't be running like I wanted... After a 1 to 2 shift at WOT I have to pump the clutch to get it to work again. When I pull the trans I guess I need to just replace everything. Bah Damn, that's a bummer dude. Let me know if you need a hand when you get to it. Hope to see you tomorrow anyway.

Thanks... I will need to do something before winter, I don't feel like laying in the cold/snow to pull my trans.

Awesome day for a rental... too bad I couldn't get more than 2 good runs (and they were slow). So many problems showed up that I just threw in the towel.

It was fun, would have been better if I hadn't smoked my clutch on my second run ever with the new engine. I was happy though with a 12.0 on the first run when I went easy on it.

Not a bad day...nothing broke! Didn't get anywhere near 10's. All of my passes were 11.5-11.8@130-131mph wth 2.0-2.1 60fts. Just couldn't get it done. Always next year.

Congrats to the entire farm truck team and their 1000hp 124mph (rounded up) time slip. Jake, you can use the laptop to dyno tune, but the real numbers speak the truth. I am sure there will be a comment like "it had bad gas in it" or "needs more tire" but you are almost 20mph off on the low side even at that weight.

I'm glad you are taking the time to follow along with F&A Racing on it's track journeys!! Indeed they do not lie. If you'll notice, he was on par with Matt's Vette which is exactly the comment I made that seems to have made you so motivated to do so (follow along with us and keep track)! You should have come down and said hi. I didn't notice the Fox or I would have come by and said hi myself. Even though I was quite busy helping some guys go faster. I would have at least bought you a hateraid, but I can see that you are plenty stocked up. Edit: I should still note, I think the truck should be faster. We had good fuel in it but it doesn't like timing for some reason. The timing at the end of the day was only about 12* at the big end. We went as high as 16* but saw a bit of knock and only changed trap speed by 1MPH. Still not sure exactly what is holding it back. It could do a good bit faster ET but I do agree the trap speed is low. Best trap on the day was 128 MPH.

Don't worry Im not following your "journey". I simply have been waiting months to prove your theory wrong with data that you so diligently found as inaccurate by me.
The z06 trapped like 5-8mph higher. Which means in my book that there is no way on god's green earth that the truck is "making way more power based on the VCM scanner". Even considering the stick/lighter car theory there is no argument.
As for why the truck is not running good enough, there are several reasons. However, I will keep those to myself as most can not handle the brutal truth. I think you guys had that truck pegged correct when you said it is for farm use and burnouts. Then people won't be disappointed with the 1000hp capable claims that it is simply not able to back up with and never will be able to. According to the horsepower calculators online the truck is still under the 700rwhp mark if not further than before.

I'm sorry, but I don't work for free. I would be more than happy to actually make that car go fast, but it is an hourly rate, and there are a handful of setup changed that need to be made. That truck should have no problem going bottom 10s-9.9x or faster. Tell the owner to call me if he ever decides he wants it to perform.

From what that motor/turbo/trans is supposed to have in it. That is a pretty light truck as well, i would see a high 9 very easily out of it. Also, you can compare it to that red S10 with the topper(can't seem to remember his name) run consistant 10.5x yesterday. Put some work into getting it setup correctly and that truck can fly.

To be clear this truck isn't supposed to turn into a race truck. Cody's truck has a cage, full slicks, high stall, 2 step and trans brake. Not sure how you would compare the two. The answer isn't always to load up the parts shotgun and through money at it. If the truck was supposed to be a race truck it wouldn't have the stall that's in it, the tires that are on it etc.

The owner does not have a ET goal he just wants it to run the best it can in its current configuration and keep its streetablity. He does everything in it including chores. Basically a all around, so it's never going to be the fastest thing ever. Now, on the other hand I would really like to see it break off a 10.99. Because I really think it has it in it with maybe an exhaust change and a tire change.

Slicks or not that thing should be trapping high 130-140mph especially if it is making the 1000hp it is claimed to make. Also, stall isn't going to effect the combo that much. My car leaving off idle can still do like 150 in the 1/4.

FYI, I got beat by an Air to Water intercooled, SBF, Billet 94mm turbo car tuned by Kurgan! Used to be a senior car, turned into a gangster class car. I beat him to the 1/8 mile and got beat by 1-2 car lengths with my 76mm t4 turbo air to air car. Getting beat by one of the fastest cars there doesn't make me that mad. I was an underdog and did damn good considering. Got anymore other brain busters dipshit? Why don't you try to get that piece of shit alcohol injected, blown built mod motor dragster to break into the 7s... Because if you don't I'll be clipping it soon with a small tire heavy ass car!
