looking to build a 30x48 12 foot walls in the summer. have to do 42inch footings per scott county. havent decided if i wanna hire multiple companies or have one place do it all. building price is 10,500 from menards and got 15,000 from another company. only have had one garage place give me a estimate so far they were at 30,000 for concreate materials and constuction but they only prices out a 30x40. anyone know any good places with decent prices. alot of the places i have found are only intrested in the bigger projects such as house building.

If your looking for a pole barn construction you can do with out the footings since the slab is free floating inside the building. The building is supported by the poles set in concrete. I got pricing from Morton, American Eagle,Cleary, and Wicks. American Eagle was the lowest price.

My neighbor replied when I asked him about doing the footings and full garage floor (he is a concrete guy) "Defently interested. I will figure it up and give ya a price by end of day. "

American eagle is good griener is also. I know many concrete guys but your so far away prices are going to change if you're using steel siding. I know we have a price increase coming up in February. Either way certain things should not be purchased from a box store. There is a reason why they cost less and it ain't because they buy in bulk.

A buddy of mine Built a box store kit for a 30x42 stick built and ended up spending as much as my 42x60 metal building and doing all the labor. Both are insulated and have interior walls.

i did strongly consider a pole barn. im required to side it the same as the house. i even considered sheething it and viynal siding and shingle roof. from the research i have done this takes away the huge advantage of a pole barn and drives the cost of it up. that would be great if he could shoot me a price. our contract at work expires is may and im thinking of pooring the floor and walls then doing the rest after the contract is signed.

I don't see why it has to be sided like the house. Judge by the size your building it doesn't sound like you're in town anywhere.

Keep in mind that 30 deep is going to be to shallow to work on a car if they are parked end to end. My buddy regretted his being only 30 deep.

I agree with that. Even with 1 vehicle with the doors all shut it can feel a bit cramped.

we have a home owners association. they told me they dont care what i build stick or pole or size just would like it to match our house. the house has new siding and my wife would also like it to match as it will be visible from our pool. i dont mind the homeowners association. we are kind all by our selfs and they handle the water the trash and the plowing for very minimal fees so its a small obsticle in my opinion and somthing i considered when moving here. i was gonna go 30 wide by 48 deep. the lot starts to taper off after 40 feet and i will have to be set 10 back from the neibors yard. my plan is a hoist in the back as the projects will be back there a while and be able to double park. dont want to drive threw a hoist to park my truck.

I would try timberstone they are home builders but I've seen them put up pole builds too. So I'm sure they will put up a garage also.
