Shit talking has been fun but since this is a car furum I thought I would throw up a car question. My camaro. I'm NOT looking to go broke trying to break the speed barier. I like my car nice and clean with a little go. The next mod has been vexing me? Stall or receicent thought...new shocks and bushing? give me your thoughts.

Stock motor, lid, full exhaust. I have read that replacing the shocks will make tremendous diff in performance and hook-up. Which I have a problem with anyways...so a stall isn't going to help much there. I fucking hate the rattles the car make is why I'm looking at shocks

Ive read that a stock car will benefit more from practice and good tires than a suspension change. Are you looking at shocks for a softer ride?

I was going to buy SFC to stiffen the car up...reading posts on LS1 tech got me asking questions and people started replying about the shocks. Stock shocks are supposedly junk...people say SFC are more of a bandaid for the rattles that develope and the root cause is that the shocks need to be replaced/upgraded. Not for a softer ride but to make the car handle better and "absorb the shock" from the road. Which inturn creates the rattles.
I'm just looking into making the car more enjoyable to drive. It will never be any faster than a high 12sec car but it will always be a driver. That's my thought.

IMO shocks are a waste.I would go with SFC's,they made my car way more solid.Control arm relocation brackets, good stall and stickey tires.

SFC made my car feel almost quality. They are very nice for rattle elimination.

I am ordering bilstein HD's. At this point I am curious if they're worth a shit or not. The plan is to try em out and base an opinion on if people are right. Then I want to add SFC and see how they affect things. SOme people say replacing shocks is a must do??? I'll let you know in a few weeks. The stall will have to wait

Thanks for asking opinions, 3 people say hold on the shocks and you order bilsteins? Whatever dude but remember, you need a solid platform to build a chassis not a car that flexes in the middle. If you think SFC's are only for rattle elimination you are mistaken.Bilteins are a great shock for autoX but on your car the ride will be stiff and jarring plus the car will rattle worse. Its your money blow it how you want.

I agree, do the SFC first. Worry about the shocks later. Hell, they only have 40k miles on them.

Wow I didn't know everyone cared so much. I have not ordered anything yet. I have been talking with this dude on LS1 Tech - SamStranno? His beef is the Decarbons are absolute crap. From his POV he is the shocks are a must. I will take your opinions if you think. I know nothing about suspension. I just want my shit ride better...

The SFC will make your ride better, no more chassis flex and nice firm transitions over bumps without the discombobulted feeling of the stock 4th Gen Chassis.

I have a wireless Keyboard and the batteries always give out in mid-sentence. Sam also sells SFC's so I'm not worried about him "selling" me. If that were the case I think he would try to get me to buy the Q1A'a or Koni's, Not Bilsteins. I do enjoy the learning curve. In this case, Has anyone ever changed out their shocks on an f-body and felt the diff? Every post I've ever read that has people going for SFC are people that don't know if the shocks do or do not help. I am to the point I just want to see who's right in the debate. you be blame me for that?

Personaly SFC are so cheap I would hardly call them a mod. Really its just buying a lid and a K&N filter.
