Just like the title says, Hows the scene out this way? Am from rockford and are getting sick of whats left of the racing scene out this way. Am looking to bring a couple of cars out come spring time. Just wondering if its going to be worth our time to bring some cars out and get some good races off.

Action out this way....one word sums it up. Drama. Sick of it here. I mean, I just dont wanna get all the way out there and have some race cars thrown at us. I am just looking for some clean races, if/when we do come out, I plan on bringing a few cars to choose from. I just dont wanna get out there and only get off one small money race. But I guess we can discuss this more when spring rolls around.

The scene is decent around here. Yeah there are probably a few people who would be down for a $$ race or two. Cant tell you if it would be worth your trip down here, It is kinda hit or miss in these parts. There are good weekends and bad.

I can think of a few people that would be more then happy to accomodate some money races. ;D  We've got a great place to screw around down here. Only street cars, no full drag cars, most of us drive everywhere. ;D We have NO tire limitations or anything, this isn't a track it's the streets. NO RULES other then don't bring out a all out low 8 second drag car, as i doubt anyone will race ya. |

it would definitely be worth your time even if you didn't find a race because you would meet some really cool people and SE some really nice cars thats the best part for us is just to meet other people who enjoy the same shit as us.
Just leave the drama in Rockford

Most of the cars in this area that play are solid 11 second cars with a few dipping in the tens. Then there are the hordes of 12, 13 and 14 second street terrors.

Bring your selfs to Cedar Rapids, There are plenty of us that will be happy to take your money! As long ass you bring DOT approved street tire, full exhuast cars! and not on a trailor!

If we do come out there, they will be on trailers. I am not driving my car 2 hours to race in hopes that I wont break anything. And a few of our cars may not be on a DOT approved tire. So I guess we wont be bringing out shit to CR. Thats what I HATE about rockford, these guys out here have to have all these stipulations before you race, I just wanna drag race. But yea slowTA, I will let you know when and what cars we will be bringing ahead of time so maybe we can get a race or two setup before we even come out.

Rockford is more than welcome down here. It doesn't matter whats going on we are always down to meet new car guys and have some fun with the hobby we devote countless hours and money to.
And as for oldskoolrcr, well he kind of like the drunk uncle at Christmas that embarasses everybody and makes you wonder about your gene pool.

Sorry guys, dont drink anymore, well for over 6mths so far. but its funny how every time the subject of racing for any type of money comes up, instead of say fine bring it...you all turn this into some BS....as for me I sold all my race toys...but I do have interest$$$ in a couple of street cars. You can always tell the real racers from the no racers...the real racers just voice there opinion (yep lets do it look us up)...and the others just like to start internet smack...well you all have a nice X-Mas and when the time comes and ya wanna do some racing...look us up I will produce 2 imports and 1 domestic...for all the fun you guys can afford....Later
