Bad news. For me. Master power turbos= garbage. At least its under warranty. It will be the second time being rebuilt. Since april. What exactly happened to the turbo? This is kinda what I was scared of trying to save money on the build and go with one. Even though I got mine for cheap I still am skeptical on what I can expect, I am gonna be pissed if I get mine together and it breaks and the car is down for another year waiting for a good precision or turbonetics.

Well I bought the kit brand new. With the "UPGRADED" master power turbo. Put everything on. Primed the motor. Started it, the turbo wouldnt spin. Thats the first time it needed rebuilt. Keep in mind this was in april. Then at the track, I left of the brake making 8lbs or so, then about the time i shift to second the boost gauge went all the to zero. The impeller on every blade is missing metal on the tips.

In my opinion I think Master Power has a decent entry level turbo with the T70. It has proven itself pretty well. They just started making the 76's and I heard 88's are coming(or possibly already out) and they seemed to have jumped the gun with them, I haven't seen people having the best of luck with them. I really think you should try a decent turbo before ditching the whole deal. Comparing a YSI to a MPT76 is far from apples to apples

I knew the mp76 wouldnt compare to the ysi. Im sure that a better turbo would take care of it. I guess I will just wait it out and see how it goes.

I left early and was curious....who ended up winning the shootout last sept for Midnight Mayhem? That 300ZX w/ the skyline motor was quick.
