I said Faster. I have a friend who, bless his heart, wants to keep his 93 Saturn SC2 instead of selling it and just buying something fast and make it "more fun to drive" Any idea's, thoughts, suggestions (keep the mocking to a minimum.) Elec has suggested doing an [shadow=red,left,300]Eco-tech [/shadow]motor? Anyone have experience with these?

sounds like a 150 shot of juice will do the trick. If not a can of gas a some matches will for sure.

I say have Chuck Norris roundhouse kick it down the 1320! It would be the fastest car EVER!

the mocking comes...I already thought of the LS1, not enough money to convert the drive train. That would be cool though. Spray...not sure how much that motor can take before it blows up but again something to look at. The cliff thing, not a great idea but I appriciate your input.
Have you guys seen Back to the Future 3? I was tinking of getting some of those colored logs Doc Brown uses to get the train up to 88 MPH but I'm not sure how to mock up the burners?

Well, all I know is that my "inclement weather beater" is a '94 Saturn SL1 4-door and even at 206K miles it still gets 30 MPG city/37 highway and has been reliable as an anvil. That said... gonna take big bucks to make a basic Saturn like that even remotely fast!! If it's just a little more *fun* that is wanted out of it, a nice set of wheels, maybe a CAI, and a fart pipe and have fun! Good luck!

Id have to agree if he wants to do the Saturn "thing" build the motor with a turbo grind cam or cams, a Turbo with like 20 psi and some spray to top it off. Then it would be a fun little car.

He threw out a number around 5k for the project? I know nothing about forced induction...is this number realisit? I want him to do a little suspension as well.

Yeah, that's a thought. Not too many people work with steam engines in cars these decades. It would be very innovative of you to revive the industry and bury the hatchet in the oil industry once and forever.
