I think you should switchoff people at the gate for a while, if you expect to squeeze everyone in the gate within a half-hour I don't think thats gonna work. If you stop accepting people that quickly I think you will lose out on racers and piss some people off. Just my $.02

yes you probably will lose out on some racers if you leave at 12:30 but if its more important for you to quit and race instead of switching off then more power to ya.I know I will be there with weather permitting and will be racing.

Thanks for the advice guys. We will see what we can do. I just don't think it is fair to us to have to worry about people meandering in whenever. I just thought people would like to arrive on time. But we will keep your comments under advisement. Maybe keep it open til 1.

We are by no means saying dont race and stay at the gate, but surely someone that isnt racing could switch off for a half an hour. I would definitely do that for you but I am racing to and I agree If you are racing you should be curtious enough to be on time.

It will work out. We will keep the gate open long enough. I doubt people will b coming much later than one anyway, everyone wants their money worth. But thanks to all for the advice, we will try to keep the gate open as long as possible. Weather is lookin up too, so that is good.

Since the weather seems to be cooperating as on right now, we are not foreseeing a problem. But if there is rain that day and we need to cancel there are a couple options. October 11th and October 18th. Tell us what you think.
The other thing we have to keep in mind is this. The AMC nationals are Saturday and if there is rain that day and it interferes with their day at all they will make up their time on Sunday. This may push us to a different start time.
Like I said though, we have been diligently checking the weather and there is scant chance of rain either days anymore. That is the latest.

Your screen name will be on the list, that will be what they mark off. Whoever else can just pay at the gate. Just have whoever is coming in your place explain that. Thanks.

yeah i'm working hard on him. The guy really doesn't do the track seen much he does a lot of circle track stuff so he might let me take it down once. Last summer he bought a 03 z06 vette with 5,000 miles on it and he took it down the track for his first time. He has sold the car sense then to get this ZR-1. Thanks for the compliment. See ya guys there.

Its getting to be about that time. I think everything has been covered in previous posts. Remember, if there are any questions we will be checking the thread throughout the day or you can call or text Matt: 815-718-5534.
We ask one thing. PLEASE READ THIS Bring exact amounts. We will not have change, especially for the first several people through the gate. Obviously, further down the line we may be able to make change but if we can't we do not want to turn anyone away. It would just be easier if you can try and bring exactly $35. We would appreciate it.
Also get there early so you can get teched in and get out on the track. Get your moneys worth. We will leave the gate open as long as possible, we just want to make sure everyone gets in fast so we can start our day.
This is great that everything is going to work out. We are super excited to see you all there. Thanks again for making this a tentative success.

Just talked to Tazz and all is good. Just wanted to remind the bike guys of all they need to know. I am sure you guys already know but just to make sure, don't forget your leather jackets, long pants, shoes or boots that are above the ankles, and helmets. To everyone: long pants, shirts with sleeves, and for all planning on running 13.99 or better, helmets. They do rent them there, but if you have one I would bring it. We are here and checking the forum the rest of the night if you need anything and Matts number is posted above. See you tomorrow!

had a good time... breaking stuff once i got my tune worked out i couldn't get into 2nd gear.. found out on the last run that the clutch wasn't disengaging all the way and then proceeded to bend the shift cable. Made it home with 2nd, 4th and reverse. Best time of 13.08 @ 104+ iirc.. i think the slip blew out the window at the end of the track. Thanks guys, i hope we can do this again sometime.
