2011 camaro SS base car with electronics package, traded in my 08 bullitt which mills gave me a great deal. The cars sticker was $30800 and bought it for less then $29000 with incentives. Car has the M6 trans and 3.45 gears as standard with the cloth interior. Leather ain't as bad as it used to be but most of these cars are 40K and I like strippers. The 5k mile bullitt sitting in mills show room, a first time for a ford. A guy bought it and had it shipped to Roush for a supercharger and a large list of mods to be done. First day with the car

I added the SLP SS badge kit to eliminate the giant bowties and give it an old school look. A couple track outings bone stock netted 13 teens at around 109-110. I did buy a vararam intake and even tho I liked it and it should draw air from the grill and give a direct, straight path it lost a tenth in the quarter and gave no MPH gain. It felt as if throttle response and torque were improved but WOT seemed to pull less and the time slips proved it. I removed it and sold it. I reinstalled the stock air box and after some research I found that most successful '10 camaro runs were done with a 3K up RPM and a clutch slip to get a good 60'. I went out in good air and holding the RPM at 3500 I raised my clutch leg up and squeezed the gas pedal down at the same time. I was rewarded with a 13.00@110.8 then a 12.86@111.2 and after an hour I went for it and got a Man was I stoked, an awesome MPH and a run and just .15 from the record for stock. I was hoping for more time but the night was over and the track was closing for the year, plus I was going with mods. At the track

I bought dynatech long tubes in 1 7/8 with gutted cats off a guy on LS1tech for $450 to the door and had Jim and J&C concepts coat them for 2 bills. Very easy install, about 2 hours on a lift being careful to not scratch the fenders and used rags on the lift pads {crazy, I know}. I used the original bolts and GM gaskets. Car sounded awesome with the original exhaust and has zero drone but wails at WOT. Of coarse I got a CEL because of the loss of cats and plan a Jannetty tune. I bought a used SCT tuner and will have him email me a"415" horse tune. Headers I have a ordered a Roto-fab intake to install before the tune ls1tech.com/forums/attachments/florida-members/198395d1253751563-roto-fab-cold-air-intake-my-2010-camaro-ss-dscn4236.jpgWhat was really fun in this great weather was installing the hurst shifter yesterday and taking a nice spin.

Very nice! I wondered what the secret was that night, 3500 rpm launch did the trick huh? Just the right throttle and clutch. The clutch is awesome compared to the LS1's. That thing can stink bad and still live, once you roast a Z06 clutch its done, Ask me how I know. I had some bogs still on those runs so I think more seat time the car may have went 12.4 or .50 but it ran what it ran and I'm pretty happy with it seeing as alot of folks don't give the car any props.

I hear you there, fighting with mine everytime I run it. The 2011 ss at work seems to have a solid clutch setup too but still sticks to the floor for some reason under abuse. Not sure what that's about.

Nice ride, cool to see you can still get them without all the bells and whistles. A car to drive instead of a computer on wheels.

That thing is going to move out next year. You have a goal for it or just modding for the hell of it?

Weather was great monday and I received the tune so installed the intake and downloaded the tune. All I can say is what a massive difference in power and throttle response, just unbelievable. This thing pulls way harder then before and just screams at WOT. Best of all normal driving is as stock with no added drone. I'm installing a moroso catch can The new wheels are on!

Im diggin those wheels and will be looking forward to seeing the difference that tune will make at the track. Do the new camaros have issues with excessive oil from the pcv?

Catch cans seem to be the new thing to do, some cars do need them some don't. I'd rather not oil down the intake.
