I have called and complained. Numerous times. They tell me that there is nothing they can do from their end and they will have to send out a tech. Strangely enough my connection will start working again a few hours later. The tech shows up and either tells me one of three things. I am close to the node so the signal is too high and he has to put something inline to reduce the signal. Or the signal is too low and he has to put an amplifier inline to boost the signal. Or that it appears some of the cabling is old and need replaced. Rinse and repeat over the last five years. I have purchased my own modems and that seems to help for awhile. I get new routers and that seems to help for awhile. But the best thing I did was get DSL and a dual band router so when the cable inevitably goes out in its usual two to three times a week cycle I still have internet. I appreciate the offer of help but I don't think the issue is really solvable. It is always solvable!

mediacom internet always starts to work once i call them, and give them my address, it's magic!
then they tell me...well it says its working and makes me look like an idiot ha

In our research for a replacement for mediacom, we found out that it's nearly impossible to speak in person to a rep from one of the dish companies. However, we did find Galaxy 1, a local business (at a kiosk in Northpark) where the rep handled both of the dish companies that I was considering. We met with them last night and got everything set up (much cheaper than mediacom).
By the way, we get a kickback (not really a kick back, but you know what I mean) if anyone signing up mentions that we referred them; so feel free to let me know if you are considering that.

i enjoy my services but recently they called me to offer me internet phone and cable for 99.99. free termination in 30 days if i didnt like it. when they came to install the guy brought two dvrs. i told him i only got one but he told me it was no charge. he was out the door in about 10 mins and i had to chase him down to show me how to work it. the bill came and it was 150.00. each clown said a diffrent story and all asured me if i cancelled it wasent free like they said. of corse theres never a manager on duty and they never call you like there suposed to. finally i got one and he said its 110.00 plus this and plus this. i said when i ask its 99.99 for everything thats not plus this plus this its 99.99 plus tax. i finally told him he better listen to the tapes because they said it four times.. finally i called back and he said its now being changed to 99.99 plus tax. i have yet to see the bill. but i bet i spent 2 hours on the phone over 3 days.

Another update new house. New issues lol
Can't none of these highschool drop outs figure out why I can't get internet. Had to wait a week to get the last guy out here and he fucks around for 15 min and tells me "looks like there's an outage in this area and I can't do anything right now..." so I wait another weekha.
Is there any solid internet in the QC I heard about century link.

I haven't had any new issues in a little while... though the new data cap stuff BLOWS. I can't get any faster service where I live (25/2) so I have to pay basically for a higher cap (250 for 50 a month currently) with no speed gain.

Can't even describe... OSX and iOS updates just released today (Yosemite and iOS 8 betas) and I think I spent about 5 minutes total on the downloads (roughly 4Gb). My phone can apparently pull ~70/~70 over 802.11n (5Ghz) so I have very few complaints at the moment. lol

UNFUCKING REAL for the last four weekends like clockwork mediacommie internet hasn't worked (saturday and sunday only m-f works completely fine). Isn't that just weird? I finally get pissed and called the fucks and of course I get a robot for half an hour then I get some cunt I can barely understand and she tells me to "unplug my modem" holy fuck!!! geeee don't you think I've already done that 20 fucking times? but hmmmmm.... after I did it this time it magically works, huh I must be a fucktard FUCK YOU MEDIACOMMIE!!!!!monopoly fucks.

I upgraded to 105/20 service and aside from an area issue a few weeks ago it's been working ok. When I have issues MediacomChad on DSLReports seems to get them taken care of.

Heh heh it is interesting when you have tried everything and you finally call and it just magically works. Get a new modem from them they finally realized this year that 1995 modems are out dated. And they only replace them if you call and complain all about that bottom dollar!

When I had issues a few years ago the tech that came practically got into an argument with me because the modem I was getting was a DOCSIS 3.0 and he didn't think I needed it. Wtf? Haha
