My FOID application is sent in and I have a friend down south that wants some clips I can get up here. Do I still need a my FOID to buy them?

Sorry cant help ya, as I live in good ole Iowa, I do know that if that stupid foid card is required for ammo clips I would be moving in a heartbeat.

No, you shouldn't need a foid to buy mags...

No but today who knows. I had a friend buy a brick of .22 ammo from gander mountain in Iowa and asked if it was for pistol or rifle at the check out, and he said "why?", she said "if its for pistol you have to wait 3 days to pick it up" He said of course its for rifle and paid and took it home. I'm not kidding about this.
