Tint, recommendations?

this has been covered before, but i couldn't find the thread to bump... i always went to auto trim, they're ok, but i want perfect, and $ isn't an option

Custom Whips did both my car and truck. I am VERY satisfied. They even gave me a discount because I had a QCAAF sticker on my truck.

Personally I will never go back to solar vision. They did the windows in my mustang. Highest prices around (which I'm okay with because if something is quality I'm willing to pay more). Turned out terrible, the old crabby bastard that did my windows complained and basically made me feel bad for even bringing the car in (after I warned them it had a cage). There is a guy in Coal Valley that does it Juano I believe. He has worked quite a few places and is simply great at it. Cheapest prices, got the cars done I saw super quick and no hassle. Call Winners Circle to get his number, I know his card is on the board.

X2 with Jesse on Custom Whips in Moline! Tinted @ least 4 of my vehicles and then add another 4 vehicles I have referred all with good results and killer prices. I would consider myself and Jesse pretty picky with quality.

He did my camaro and did an excellent job. I think I paid 160 or 180 for all 3 windows. I called him up on a Saturday and I brought it right down to him and he was done within a few hours

Juano has done a few cars for me as well and he has always done a great job. I've seen alot of shitty work come out of solar vision

Juano did the tint on my Thunderbird years ago when he worked out of the car wash. I was VERY pleased with the job he did. I heard he was working for Auto Trim at the time of getting my Escape windows done. Again, I was satisfied. Then came my Fusion at Auto Trim, it was OK and not done by Juano. I went back and had one window warrantied and was pleased. So, I went back to have my RX7 (i.e.: My Baby) done (old purple tint removed, cleaned, and new installed) and they not only left a huge mess but they also cut a bunch of my rubber trim sweeps on my door cards. I was pissed and I bitched but they said too bad. I'll never go back and was hesitant to trust Custom Whips with my wife's brand new VW and my truck. But, they knocked it out of the park. They started with the truck on a Saturday at 11AM, had it done in 1.5 hours, and did the VW next in 3 hours. It's a wagon with 9!! windows.

Custom Whips gets my vote but I would take my stuff to Juano in a heartbeat as well.

Is bill the crabby old bastard there? Whoever did mine said he was the only person who does tint there now. Almost $300 later I have some shitty tinted windows.

I brought my Z to those guys when I first moved to the area asking about tint. The crabby old fart started pissing and moaning about how it would be too hard to do my back window and it would take more time and be difficult, blah blah blah. I just left and gave up on window tint. Decided it wasn't that important.

Bill might not work there any more, its been awhile since Ive talked to him. He was anything but an old and crabby guy. He did 3 cars for me and they always looked great, one of which was a foxbody with a cage in it.

Thank you for this thread. Ivebeen wanting to get my windows tinted on my silverado. Solar vision was not my first choice but I didnt know where else to take it.....until now thanks guys.
