About got the engine ready to pull today. Another hour tomorrow and it will be ready to come out. Haven't decided yet what I am going to do with it, probably just sit it in the corner until I figure that out. Don't really want to install the new engine until the push rods arrive, they will be a lot easier to install and adjust on the stand. So in the mean time I will work on replacing the roll bars. I was going to recoat the side pipes black to match the roll bars but the wife said that I should get chrome roll bars instead. Who am I to argue with logic like that. I wanted the chrome bars but didn't want to spend that much money. Hopefully the pushrods show up soon.

Installed the new engine this weekend. I wanted to wait for the pushrods because they would be so much easier to install and adjust on the stand. But I did it without them just to find out they showed up at the shop while I was off on Friday. Oh well at least they are here. Hopefully I can get it running on Tuesday. Can't wait to hear what it sounds like.

Almost forgot I insalled the new roll bars this weekend also. I was going to coat the sidepipes black to match the bars but the wife said we should leave the pipes alone and get chrome roll bars. Who am I to argue with logic like that. I took pics. to post but I used the camera and they are to large so I will get some with my phone and post them. I know, no pics., never happened.

I don't know if I forgot how loud this car is, but I don't think so. I don't know if it is the extra compression, the cam, the long tube 4 into 4's or all of the above but it is crazy loud. I may have too invest in ear plugs to be able to drive it. definitely don't think I will be able to hear the stereo any longer. maybe next winters upgrade will have to be quieter pipes.

Finally got it running and adjustments dialed in. went for a short drive on Wednesday, What a Beast!! Here is a short video of it running.

I finally got to spend some time trying to dial in the Carb. tonight. got the idle down to 750 but it waqs much happier at around 850. I will try to post a new video soon.
