I'm torn. Ive really wanted to get a new bmws1000rr ever since they came out, but I really like my gsxr 1000. The bmws are killer but I think my gsxr would be badass with an under braced swing arm and a 240 kit. The biggest down side to me is Ive already done a bunch of stuff to the gsxr that id have to do all over again on the bimmer. On the flip side its easier to sign on the dotted line than it is to scrape together 2500.00 for the swing arm and 240 wheel. Although its so nice not having a bike payment. Grrrrr... What you guys think???

sooooo, you either wanna build a purdy poser bike or just get a top of the food chain performance bike. that's like trying to decide between steak and donuts for supper

Does a 240 kit really hurt the performance that much? Ive never really cared about going fast around corners, just in a straight line. And that gsxr was pretty close to top of the food chain in 07 when I got it. Its definitely behind by todays standards though. It amazes he that they keep finding power in liter bikes.

yes, it kills performance for a few reasons. the combo weighs a ton effecting rotating mass. then there are no performance tires in that size i know of. on the other hand. it looks cool as hell doin a rolling burnout with that steamroller. i give this same advice to everyone. if you aren't a serious performance rider. build your bike to turn heads and get you laid.
