This event was awesome. Tons of great instructors and lots of cool people. The weather was crap most of the time, though we all did get some dry sessions in. I was a bit nervous driving 9/10's since I didn't want to run the car off the track when stuffing it into a corner without tow hooks and my low ground clearance in the mud...but we did pick up the pace a bit. Instructor drove a badass modified GTR, so he was a lot of help in driving the car fast around the track. Also, pushed pretty hard. We tried breaking from marker 4 once at the end of the long straight closing in on 140mph into a right hand turn. I was sure we were going offroading, but the car found the grip to pull it around the turn. Lots of fun.
First on the list for mods next is tow hooks. Followed by a dedicated oil cooler. After several fast laps around the track using 3rd gear, the car was heating up quickly. I only let it get to 263* before doing some cool down laps, but it was obvious that heat was going to be an issue.
Couple videos from one of my few dry sessions.
