Time to start another build thread. My goal is to have a 8 second car for under 9k... we will see how this works out (I won't be including the price of the car in the build or left over parts that I have laying around...)
The car is a 94 cobra previously was in a fire. Very solid car otherwise, it was from Arizona for most of its life.
The plan is
- 460 block high compression 521
- Kaase p51 heads
- Victor intake
- Edelbrock performer notorious kit
- solid roller can
- C4 PA trans 10" converter
Suspension
- UPR upper and lower control arms
- strange adjustable rear coil covers
- Wilwood rear breaks
- Aerospace front drag brakes
- billet specialties street lite wheels
- strange 10 way adjustable front Front struts with coil over kit.
- qa1 k member and a arms
I have a lot of the parts that are not required for the build but are nice to have on the car.
I will have a total investment of what I paid for the parts I already have and then the investment of the parts I'm trying to go eight with.
I am almost positive I paid $1300 for the car it came with some good parts including
- mad 6-al
- Hurst quarter stick
- be cool big block radiator with cooling fans
- 8 point cage
- jaz race seat
- tubular k member
- fuel system
Parts that I have had laying around the garage from my last build and what I had purchased them for.
- wheels and tires ($1050)
- breaks (front) ($250)
- rear end with rear suspension and breaks ($1500)
- nitrous kit ($500)
- a arms
- front coil over kit ($50)
- 3.5" exhaust and x pipe ($350s
Money spent on the budget motor section so far
Short block $2200 with camshaft
P51 heads, valve covers, rocker arms $2400
Intake $175, lifters and roller rockers $800

Budget left, $3424

the car when I first bought it
On a serious note with all the earth moving torque that monster is gonna make I think you might be better off ditching the UPR control arms on the rear and getting some Team Z. Anything can fail but I like the quality of the Team Z stuff better myself, and thing is gonna put the hurt on them.
