My tune isn't optimal but should be good enough to get some times. I think I'm ready.

Not a lot of active people anymore, just a core group holding it together. I think at the last rental only 3 or 4 MFBA members were there. It's great that they keep offering these events because the interest doesn't appear to be all that high. The more people we can get the better so invite anyone and everyone you can. The same goes for the QCAAF events, the more people who participate the more likely the events will continue.

A lot of work to be done on the car. Probably not much racing this year with it. Definitely not bringing the BRZ to the dragstrip. Just, no.

Bring the BRZ... It would be nice to not be the slowest thing out there for a change. . BRZ is more at home doing the autocross stuff for sure.

What's going on with the z now. Seems like every year your upgrading and making it "more Gooder"

What's going on with the z now. Seems like every year your upgrading and making it "more Gooder" Getting it prepared for road racing. I ran it at Mid America last year and I wasn't happy with the cooling, as expected. So, installing an oil cooler right away. Then replacing the seats, adding harnesses, and a 6pt roll bar setup. Then it's ready to rock, but adding heat exchangers for trans and diff later. Then redoing suspension. Then it's done. For real this time. Maybe.

Man I just sold an oil cooler from a zo6 aps twin kit. I could only imagine how hot everything must get tracking that.

You know, it actually isn't too bad considering. I ran it really hard for a few laps and saw 263F oil temps and backed off. Stock ZO6's run well over that, but I'm ultra conservative and cooled it down and went at it again. With the oil cooler, I should be able to run 230-240 range the entire session. The next thing that gets hot is the trans, which even the stock cars have issues with if you drive it hard enough and you'll get a "trans over temp" warning on the DIC (around 280 i think). There are some nice heat exchangers that mount where the rear brake ducts are. You remove the ducting, put the radiators in there and the active cooling, and it draws in all the cold air that the brakes would normally get. One side diff, other trans. Pretty cool setup.

Did anyone actually show up? I went there with a couple people in the g8. I wasn't gonna run it but they convinced me. First and only run was 13.9 @ 101. Not bad for a mostly stock 4000lb family sedan. People say a tune makes a huge difference with these cars, so I'll probably make another trip when I get one
