To whomever this may concern:
Community Businesses, Clubs, and Previous Donors:
Walcott Day Committee has planned a car show for Saturday, July 16, 2016, as one of our Walcott Day 2016 celebrations. We would like to take the time to thank the businesses and individuals who generously donated towards our car show in the past years. It is that time of year when we reach out for your help once again!
Walcott Day originated when a group of Walcott businessmen decided to have an Appreciation Day for their customers in 1974. Their purpose of banding together was to work for local area improvements, and have a good time doing it. Today, thousands of dollars have been applied to the improvements and beautification of the city of Walcott and our surrounding communities.
Walcott Day is a non-profit organization. Every cent earned goes back to our communities. A few examples of donations the committee has made have gone to Walcott School, Walcott City Parks, Angel Tree Foundation, Davenport West High School Hunger Drive, Walcott Fire Department, Durant Ambulance, Honor Flight, and the City of Walcott Recreational Trail.
Walcott Day would not happen if it were not for community businesses involvement, enjoyment, and generosity.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Cloe at cmckinley012@gmail.com.
We welcome you to come and celebrate with us on July 16, 2016 for our annual Walcott Day celebrations! It is an event the whole family looks forward to!
Also note: Even if you cannot donate directly, if you have any cars or members who would like to enter into the show, you are MORE than welcome to, I can send you a flyer/form/information electronically, or drop it off at your location!
Thank You,
Walcott Day Car Show 2016
