I would be interested in getting my car dynoed, and tuned. Whats the cheapest shop in town, that still does good work? Thanks in advance.

There isnt anywhere around here that can tune an LT1. Your probably going to be looking at Speed Inc. In any case with your mods a PCMforless tune would probably cover it.

Alright, that, well, sucks, but oh well. So whats the cheapest place to just dyno my car, see what its makeing, just to have baseline numbers and such... And whats the process of getting your car dyno'ed, do they drive it, or you?

Illinois Dyno Center is around $60 for 3 or 4 pulls, no you drive it. Save yourself some money, your car isnt modified enough to really need to dyno. Im going to say it makes 250-275 rwhp the way it is now. Go to the track and get some times, much better than any dyno.

Dad said I can't run my car at the track, hes a dick, I know, don't worry, I won't be living here much longer. The only reason I want a dyno pull is to see if the first owner was lieing about interanal mods he said he did. I know my car feels like it pulls faster than any other lt1 i've ridden in, but I've never drove another one, just rode...

Tell your dad that you are going to the movies or something and then go racing if you really want those times so bad............and Illinois Dyno will dyno your car, but there maybe Peterson's over in Eldridge, IA. can do it also from what I have heard Peterson's is better with F-bodies than IDC.......As Jamie stated earlier if you are serious and want a good and accurate reading Speed INC. is the way to go......they know there shit better than anyone in the IL. area!!!!!!!

The butt dyno is very subjective. What internals does the car have? If you want a decent guesstimate of how much power your car has in the best possible circumstance then this is the wrong site. Go to the LT1 tech section at www.CamaroZ28.com they are the premier LT1 site on the Internet.

See, thats the problem. I don't know what internals. The guy I bought it off of had the car for 2 months or so, and hated driving stick so he sold it. He said the first owner was the one that put the headers on, along with "a chip" (later turned out to be a !cags) and had the heads done, and a cam. The car does not loap hard at all, but who knows. I just want to see if the guy was bsing me or not, which I thought he was, thats why I wouldn't give him what he was asking for the car.

Most likely its a GM Hot Cam or LT4, if its cammed. I would guess its probably a stock LT1 though. Take it to Dyno Center and see what it puts down, make sure you tell them you want an SAE correction factor on the dyno though.

Maybe next time we speak at Autozone we will recongnize each other. LOL man, yea you helped me a bunch there, I got on Cz28 and posted, and they told me what to check, and what to do, and everything checked out. I was thinking it was running TOO hot while sitting there for like 5-10 mins, but they said it was normal of a stock tune with a 160 stat. They also suggested Manual fan switches, or a Mail order tune. I think Im gonna do manual fan switches once I get the car out of the body shop * goes in at five today!! YAY * BTW, bad ass stang man, what does it run?

Never got a good pass with it. It ran 12.20@120 with a 1.96 60'. I was only making about half the boost I normally make due to a slipping belt so I pretty much dont count that. Ive changed blowers since then anyway.

How do you get into the trunk without a key? Is that tail pipe bent down? It looks like you backed into a ditch or somthing.

Screwdriver works wonders. Yeah If only Dave K. was going to the gym back then. I think 20 less would have saved it from the ditch.
