Does anyone happen to know the stock rear end ratio for a 95' formula firebird?
Also---Is there any kind of seal or bearing in the rear end that would make the car have noise (can be heard but not felt) while taking slow turns? thanx

There isnt really a "stock" rear gear for those, but most common would be 3.23 for an auto and 3.42 for a stick. Check your RPO codes and look for a G** code such as GU4 or such and run it on the net and it will tell you what gear you have.

If your car is a 6 speed... It has 342 gears. If it is an auto and your shifter shows a 1, 2, 3, and OD on the shift indicator then it has a 323. If it only shows 2, 3, and OD then you have 273 gears in the rear.

its not a grinding or a rubbing, but it almost sounds like a jumping, as if somethings spinning in a hole larger than whatevers spinning, which is why im asking if theres a bearing or anything back there that i would need worry about. Im leaking a little bit of diff fluid from the front of the differential if thats any help. thanx
