Update: Is there anyone out there with an lt1 that can check the resistance on theyre' oil level sensor with a voltmeter when the oils full? (i need to find the right resistor to put in my broken sensor) thanx!
I got the pan out, tapped, and ready to put back in the ol' lt1--but i broke off the oil level sensor on the inside of the pan off of the oil pickup. Since I dont really need the computer tellin me when my oils low, can i just put a paperclip in the plug-in sensor and be done with it or do i need to actualy replace the whole sensor? thanx

Just stick the threaded part back in the pan, and either program it out of the pcm, or find out resistance it reads when full, and put the appropriate size resistor in so the computer always thinks its fine.

There is not a signal sent to the pcm for the low oil level it is just a dash light trigger to remind to to put oil in your ride. No programming needed, if the light bothers you that much unplug it and see if it goes out if not ground the wire and it will be gone.
