I am looking into buying a cage for my car but am a little short on money right now and trying to finish my engine. What is the fastest you guys have run without a cage at cordova and not been kicked out, also would it be better to put subframes or a cage in or both.

depends how deep in the 11's or 10's or 9's u are....i mean 11:80's they will let slide maybe..but u BETTER be deep into the 10's-9's for all the "races" u have set up...

both the stiffer you make your car the better. and yes with your ungodly fast car that your going to have when its done you will need a cage

I ran pretty consistent 11.7's back when the cutoff was 12.0 and they never batted an eye at me. Now, isn't it 11.49?
I'd personally not want to cut my car up for a cage and would wait to see just how fast it actually was before I went to the time, $$$, and effort.

Yes, this is correct, 11.49 is the cutoff for a street car. I asked one of the techs last year when I was going through inspection. However one of my friends was running 11.20's in his Z06 and like you, they didn't blink.

I wonder if Chevy will make an optional roll cage for the 2007 Model. It would kinda suck to buy a car and only get one trip down the quarter mile.

No actually I would'nt mind buying a car that after first run off the show room floor got kicked off the track. I will never be able to do that unless I find a sugamamma. Does anyone's mom have alot of money? Or maybe if my parents were rich and would buy me a new car.

I think NHRA rules have made an exception this year for street cars that if they are like a factory car they can run up to 10.99 or something i read it in MM&FF like two months ago, but cordova isnt an NHRA track so i dont know what there rules are about it
