i have a sony cd player, it works alright accept for when i program all the stations it resets them after i turn off my truck. same goes for when i play a cd and i turn off my truck the cd player spits out the cd and the cd starts from the begining. im guessing its something to do with the memory or something i dont know much about cd players so any help that would be great
thanks

you have two different power wires coming out of the back of your cd player, one is a constant and the other is acc.
the constant isnt hooked up to a constant source of power...thats your prob.

yup ur constant "memory wire" is prb. hooked to ur ign. somewhere find that memory wire eighter yellow or red...red is usually the ign, and the yellow is the memory...and run it directly to ur batt....and ur done fixed enjoy ur presets

my ign (red) wire was connected to yellow memory wire, so if i connect the yellow to the battery where do i put the ign wire at, the cd player runs without the key in when i just connect the yellow

The red wire needs to go to a switched 12v source and the yellow to a constant 12v source.

exactly...if need be run the yellow to ur batt.....and then run the red of ur radio to ur fuse box...to an ign. on-off power fuse usually the radio fuse works just fine lol...

I have the same problem in my Stang except there are times when it stores the memory but hardly ever. I think that my problem may be that the alternator is not strong enough for the car as the voltage meter is always low unless I am on the gas and the radio has actually reset itself while I was driving. Just throwing this in here incase it could be the problem with Hemi426's truck.

I checked it over and over for loose wires and couldn't find anything so I was assuming it was the Alternator. Oh well atleast is works I went about 5 months without a radio at all so it ain't all that bad.
