I just got my car starting up after all my tranny problems, but as usual murphy's law! heres the problem, and also before I go on the car has not been tuned and has a stock ECM it is a 94 cobra. so I go to start it and what happens is the car starts and than stalls as fast as it started. is this a tuning issue or something else. I have checked 3 times over for vaccuum leaks and every line is accounted for, I am stumped. and am about to call it quits and get it tuned...

Unplug the IAC and get it started and keep it running with throttle. Then use the idle screw to get it to idle decently. Shut it off and set your TPS to .85-.95 volts. Then restart the car and as soon as it gets to 180 degrees plug your IAC back in.
If that isn't the problem its most likely a MAF transfer problem. If you just want to drive it around before you tune put the stock injectors and MAF back on the car until you can tune it.

Jamie sounds right as usual ;D If you just assembled a whole longblock chances are your not going to have the idle even close to where it needs to be. That will not let your motor run. No big deal same thing happen to me when I finished my 331. Just a few turns to get it running then I went through what Jamie described. Just so you know for the first 30 or so minutes you should be "bliping" the throttle, this will help the initial seat of the rings. So once it will start just rev it between 1000 to about 2500-3000. Just little revs, once it hits 1000 blip the throttle again. You get the idea
