And for having some fast rides here, this place just drags. ok that was a bad pun. I saw the sticker on a crazy looking cobra at BHC the other day, and figured i would come see what all this is about. So any Grand Prix love around here? www.cardomain.com/ride/2478513I know its not the fastest thing on the road, but hell, i like it, and its tasteful. Planning on some pacesetters this spring/summer, i really want to see what all the fuss is about with these things, the stock exhaust is really restrictive.... So, Hi, and sweet site.

isn't there a stock boost upgrade pulley option for those? I am pretty sure it comes with a pulley and belt to up the boost pressure. Also aren't the exhaust on the S/C models supposed to be the less restrictive ones? Hopefully you get some gains out of the exhaust swap and headers (if that is what your doing) looks like a nice ride. But I am partial to pontiacs

SlowTA98 and i were driving down the Ave and had a red Grand Prix trying to mess with me. I think i went into boost in 4th and then however it was never caught back up. I'd be happy to show ya what it can do, well off nitrous. ;D

You bet, that sure was me, I just got off work, i take the ave some nights just to see whats out on the road. I was like, mmmm, from a roll? mmmm, from a dig? mmm better not...
Im so stock its not even funny. if your familier with the "U-Bend" on the GP's, well i still have mine.
If your not, then its this part of the exhaust right after the cat that dips down so an o2 sensor can go verticle as to not get damaged. and in doing this, it flattens out the pipe like a piece of paper, AND shrinks its down to about 2 inches. Kills the top end. >----u----
not cool in the least.
Anywho, yes, i have a red car, and it was me. I would love to be one of those guys on StreetFire that hands a Cobra another win! Someone needs to grab the black last-gen supra i saw on seventh street in Moline a few days ago and post another Supra V Cobra race. Thats a hot debate worth fighting for.

yes, depends on the year and trim name, some NAWWWWSSSSS does these motors good. thats a cheap awsome alternative. Suprise the hell out of LOTS of people.
My site for ALL future upgrades, be it Headers, Trannys, port jobs.... ect.... is www.zzperformance.com they do mostly grand prixs, but are getting into the Cobalt SS and Ion Redline as well.Bonnies are cool, a little heavier then the Grand Prixs, and thats one of the reasons the aftermarket is limited on these cars, people assume their too heavy to do any good at the track. the fastest GP runs a 9.01 @ 150mph. i think? Its raced by the same guys who own ZZP. aka: the link above. Thing is they use the stock bottom end on all these runs. No forged cranks ect... For the most part they use the same drive train. ANY questions regarding compatability between the two models send an email to those guys, they are awesome, very respectable and have a reputation like no other in the 3800 world.ONE THING TO WATCH OUT FOR! DO NOT DROP PULLY SIZE WITHOUT SUPPORTING MODS!! these things are very prone to chipping pistons. the most common mods are in order: Intake, 180* T-stat, 3in Downpipe, then a PCM from zzp. you can drop a pully then. alot of guys on the gp fourms will always say go buy a scanner to detect any degrees of knock. I have no idea what knock is, but i know its bad. you want 0* of knock. too much knock = too much heat = chipped piston as it expands in the chamber, catching the lip on something and breaking the top off. back in the day when people first started modding gtp's this happened alot. then people figured out that you need supporting mods, like more air in and more air out, breath better ect... I know that was long, but tell him to tell his dad to check out www.clubgp.com Volumes of information and there friendly for the most part. Pacesetter headers are dirt cheap, they have all the bugs worked out now, and man, i have been told by many many that they really open that 3800 up. Awesome first mod.
