I am thinking of changing my 4.10 over to 3.55. I am curious as to what brand everyone prefers. I've heard that FMS gears whine, and I remember someone on this board not regarding Richmond too highly. What about Motive? Any info would be appreciated, I guess this would also mean that I would have a set of 4.10 gears for sale down the road if anyone would be interested.

FMS is by far the best unless you are spending big bucks.

Have had both Motive Gear and FMS. No problems with either

FMS gears won't whine if they're installed correctly.
Those are the best bang for your buck.

I've had two FMS gears installed by 1oldschoolgt and they both have been great.

ford motorsport gears are the best bang and never had any problems and most can be installed and not reshimmed, richmond are usually loud no matter how they been installed from what i heard. for gear install try calling sadler powertrain in davenport, might have mine done there, they sell gears, eaton posi's, and do alot more work.

FMS for sure. I may still have the 3.55's from the '05 kicking around. I'll check.
