Hey guys my buddy has a 93 foxbody LX 5.0 and he is going to add squeeze on it for this spring track runs. Now I am going to do a compression test on it but i know nothing about mustangs LOL.
What numbers should he be at to be safely spraying at least 100 shot?
Let me know guys.

The numbers really aren't the most important its the spread. You want to see them around 10% of each other. Rule of thumb for 5.0Ls is 120-140 cold and 160-180 hot. You should really do them hot though.

alright thanks sukkoi.
And NOTAGT the car has had work done to the moor by the previous owner so it may or may not have new internals. It is a chance he is going to have to take.

I will. He is dead set on it and I am iffy about it but hey its his car. I have seen a few guys stick 100 and 150s on stock LT1s so we'll see if his 5.0L H.O. will handle it. Who knows though.
Thanks guys.

I knew a guy that was running a stock 5.0 hypereutectic (sp?) piston bottom end pushing some pretty good boost and running mid-high tens. May not be the norm, but can apparently be "pushed." Run it RICH and with low timing!

The hypereutectic will hold the power fine. Its the resistance to detonation or lack there of that is the issue. Most people burn the cast pistons because they don't have their tune in order. While they won't hold as much power as a forged piston for what you are talking about they will be more than adequate.
With a good A/F ratio I don't see any problem shooting a 200+ on a stock 93-95 5.0L.

Depends on what you want to do. A chip tune is about the only you can do short of an EMS for a Fox. I would suggest Bob Kurgan at Bob@KurganMotorsports.com You can get him pretty quickly with his email.
