I had this transmission modified to bolt in a C4 Vette. The output shaft is longer, and adapter was installed and then a stock 700R4 tailhousing was bolted on. This setup cost $300 bucks alone on top of the 750 dollar trans. The converter is a noname 3800 stall that I have had good luck with before. The trans was a backup for a car that runs 9.90s, its nothing SUPER trick but will get the job done and was built by a very reputable shop in the area that has done all my trans work very successfully. This was gonna go behind the turbo motor in my vette before I jumped ship on that project and sold it.
This trans may come close to bolting in an F-body with an F-body tailhousing, but I'm not sure. You would need to see if vette and F-body 700r4s are the same length.
If you were starting from scratch and had to build a driveshaft anyway, this would be a great way to save $$ on a trans.
I have about $1200 in the setup and will let it go for $700 bucks
