That's a little over my price range. I'm looking for more like "old and worn out, needs some work." Something that I can start rebuilding. Around 300 or below. That sounds like a good deal if I had the money though. Thanks

Thanks streetbird, I'll be out of town for a few days starting next weekend, but let me know and I'll respond as soon as I get back.
Free is my favorite price, but how far is drive a little? Where are you located aod?

aod, I just saw your location on myspace. 8 hour round trip is a heck of a drive. Is there anything in your area I could talk the wife into going to see one weekend? Then I could just "happen" to drop by to make a pick up.

Good friend of sload. Tanger outlet mall in Tuscola is about 45 minutes from him. Aurthur and Acrcola are amish settlements (about the same distance from him), lots of little stores, shops and good food. Bunch of Abe Lincoln sites down there, not sure if it interests you. He told me about the motor, he was told it was a 351w. that is his 3rd 302 on hand.

the motors at my work place in mattoon, about 2 hours and 25 mins from galesburg. i always forget most guys on here r from the qc area. unless you could find another reason for coming down, you might look closer to home. but as nate said , you could always visit abe lincolns crib its only 8 miles away.

The wife approves the trip, but I'll have to contact you to schedule something after I get back in town. I'm still going to see what street bird has to offer but even if I get his, two engines give more opportunities for usable parts. So is it a 302 or a 351?

it's a 302. the reason i ended up with it is because i was told it was a 351, so i told them to just drop it off.. but once it got here i noticed it was not.. so i have nothing in it is why i am passing on the savings..what r you putting the motor in??

The engine is for my '65 Fairlane 500 with a tired 289. I want to build the newer engine as practice then drop it in the car While I give the old 289 a full work over. I'll put a pic up soon Jesse. I'll give you a call Nick. Thanks

Hey, no stealing my post. What price range are you looking for and what's it for? NOTAGT2 practically gave me two blocks that need work, but I'm still looking for a complete engine to start with. Unless I make the trip to Mattoon in a couple weeks. Thanks for fixing my pics for me Jesse.

qcmustang has a good idea there. Now that I have blocks from NOTAGT2 I should probably ask about any other cheap parts. Heads, intake, carb, pan, oil pump, or any other parts for cheap?

I'm planning on comming out there Hugger. I need an engine stand (or two or three) so I'm hoping you've got a good price on them. Any interest in making a sale before the 3rd?

Well, I have an engine now (two actually) but I'm still interested if anyone has a great deal on some good parts or a good deal on some great parts.

Whichever one of you were still looking for 302 parts, I have a 5.0 roller cam block that came out of my '89 Mustang GT. It is the block, crank, and main caps. The cylinders don't even have a ridge. I, also, have a double roller chain, 1.6 roller rockers with the locks, push-rod guides, and stud kit. I have brand new, still in the box, valve springs and locks that fit GT-40 heads, or any other heads with the same diameter springs. I bought the spring kit at The Car Shop back last winter for @$150, but I am pretty easy to deal with! I have a set of .030 TRW pistons (#L2249N) with not very many passes on them. Supposedly these are 12.5:1 domes, but I cannot verify that for sure. Last thing, a real '93 Cobra upper/lower f.i. intake for 5.0. Dan at (563)940-9346 or jsime1@mchsi.com

How much for the rockers, guides, and studs? Pistons? I'd ask about the block too, but I think the four I have now are more than enough.
