Gross... cutouts are gay. They just leak... Run straight headers or exhaust

well i guess thats in the eye of the beholder. Im just telling you because my friends told me and I didnt believe. Itd be just as easy to go to an exhaust shop and have them weld a tube in place... but you know, ultimately its your decision

Electric cut outs are sweet... Manual seems like too much work..

whats the difference in ahving a pipe then having a cutout? They ultimately do the same thing when the cutout is closed.

You would think so wouldn't ya? They leak like a siv constantly. And no they dont do the same, they redirect the exhaust and then it has no where to go and has to come back around and out again. I didn't like the sound.

ok well now you have me thinking that it may sound like crap. I was however going to go with percys soft seal collector gaskets in it if that would be of any help. 3" pipe would probably be easier and cheaper

well i am going 3" pipe instead like doug said. Great decision, as for how it will sound I couldn't tell you, I remember Dougs car as I don't remember it being absolutley horrible but that was quite some time ago he had that car. Just to clarify and such Doug "hit the nail on the head" so to speak. Even if they didn't leak you would most definatley be creating a restriction even with it being 3". With the cutout/s closed exhaust gases would split between going back to the muffler/s and trying to go down through the cutout area. Since there closed it would be just hitting a wall and going back towards exhaust gases coming down from the header. Basically a whole cluster, not worth it IMHO.
