Im afraid that my rear end is shitting out on me for my 95' formula, so i need a rear end as a backup for When my other one dies. I would Like to get one from a 98+, but ill basiacly take anything. Im not exactly sure what theyre goin for, so if someone has one for sale, please post or PM me. thanx!

As far as I know the only thing different is the brake size being bigger on the 98 up cars. So if your not getting the brakes with the rear end your not really gaining anything. Less miles maybe

Yea, as far as I know a 7.5 10 bolt is a 7.5 10 bolt is a 7.5 10 bolt.

larger brakes, you do need to know if you have a 4 channel or 3 channel when replacing the rear so you can get the correct setup for your application.

you should know if u have traction control or not... should be a switch to turn it off. Anyways there is a difference in the rears. The 98+ tend to have a Zexel Torsion posi rather then the commonly worn out Auburn Lt1 posis.
Although there was an option for Auburn posis in 98+

btw its 3 channal abs for non TCS cars and 4 channal for ABS/TSC cars.
TSC is pontiacs form of traction control, ASR is the chevrolet version.
But wasn't asr/tcs a 96+ thing?
