According to Iowa Speedway Officials the start of the 2010 Tour will be in Newton, Iowa at the Iowa Speedway on June 5, 2010. An official announcement will be made on Monday October 19, 2009 giving all the venues and other info. AS PART OF THE ABOVE ANNOUNCEMENT IOWA SPEEDWAY AND HOT ROD MAGAZINE ARE ASKING ALL OWNERS OF POWER TOUR TYPE CARS/TRUCKS (ANYTHING BUT YOUR DAILY DRIVER) TO BE AT THE IOWA SPEEDWAY BY 12:30 PM ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2009 FOR A PHOTO SHOOT.  |

i cant find this announcement anywhere else on google... but glad to hear its starting close to home. SURELY the nova will be going on this tour!

There is a precedence of it starting other then where it ended.

This is freakin awesome.. I remember going to the street machine nationals when I was a kid that was in Duquion, IL.
This should be a goal for alot of us that still do not have our stuff quite done yet.
Get going guys!!!! Including me!! Going as a Qcaaf group would be pretty cool

Yeah I think I went in like 88' and 89'.. Nothing like tubbed pink and teal hotrods.. ;D It was a blast back when I was a kid..

Yeah I remember the last time the "Hot Rod" WEENIE TOUR was at the Miss. Valley Fairgrounds. Hope it's a better time than that "wonderful experience".The idea that they are already "excluding" everyday drivers from a photo shoot raises questions with me. Who are they to judge. Maybe someones "everyday driver" is there Hot Rod.

I have been on a few of these and they have not yet been a disapointment, though it does make a difference for parking at the event if you go ahead and register in advance. |

I was there in '04 and also was not overly pleased with the way the venue was run. That being said, I have not had any issues with any of the other venues that I have been to since then. Thanks for the compliment on the Coronet. Its always a fun car to run around in. |
