are they thinking of doing a prequalifying race thing. basically you would have to got there twice. once for a race to get picked to enter the actual event  . leave it to 66 to take sumptin ghey and make it even more ghey i will say that they put on a great show at gateway. unreal how fast they moved those cars thru the rounds  |

I was on Rt 66's site last night and from the was i read it i understood that you have once week to sign up, like 5 days i believe, everyones name that signs up those 5 days is thrown into a drawing and they will pick 425 names from that, those 425 will be notified and have to pay within so much time, i forget how long. If you dont pay in that time another name will be drawn as a replacement, and so on until they fill the 425 spots.
The other 75 spots will be the winners or whatever from the pre-qualifing night and i read somethin about thats where the quick 8 will be choosen from.
So basically you might as well sign up for one of the 425 spots cause even if your broke and cant go when the time comes they pick the name you just dont pay and your spot gets replaced... If you dont get picked and still want to go you can go to the pre-qualifing race thing for a shot at one of the 75 spots left.
Anyone else understand it the way i did?

just read it and that is how i see it. last year they were saying they wanted to have a qualifyin race to be picked for show. that way more locals had a chance to get in. got my phone set to remind me. Griswalds will be coming back to chitown from wally world ;D

I believe the racer pack comes with two spectator crew tickets. I think they're about $100. The spectators were around $20
