After much consideration from Jamie and I, we are not going to be able to continue to oversee this years Track Day. I know this may look a little premature being our day was at the end of May. But, we want to give everyone enough time to make other plans and/or possibly start a new QCAAF Track Day. This decision is very hard for us, because we had a ton of fun last year and met alot of great people. However, in life certain things take priority and certain things have to take a back seat, and Track Day is one of them.

To everyone that had already posted on the previous thread that I had started:
Can you please post again, whoever is interested in racing? We want to start the list of people who are serious about joining us that day. Just give us an "I'm in" or "I'll be racing". And remember, the more people that can pay ahead, the less us 2 schmoes have to come up with ourselves. Thanks for your help. Hope to hear from you soon!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm............ The car should be done, since I got a fat check from the bank today to finish it. But, I'm not sure if it'll be ready to race by then or not, or if I'll be comfortable enough with it to race. I'll definately see if I can get a few buddies rounded up for racing though.

 not sure if my bike buddies will be in or not. AMA is/was suppose to be at US131 in michigan this weekend. now it says the weekend before so they gotta see which is right.

We had a total of 53 cars last year, and I would like a whole lot more this year. So to answer your question, there is no limit on cars.

I guess the motor should be good and broken in by then, and it's still two months away, so I have time to get it up to Speed Inc for a tune. Put me down. lol. I'll send the money a little later.

If anybody knows of a business that is willing to donate a couple hundred bucks towards this, send me their info and I will call them.
So far Rev Hard and Illinois Dyno Center have not gotten back to me and it doesn't look good. IDC was very generous last year, so I am holding out hope for them still.

We don't need a "full fledged" sponsor, just a business looking for a tax deduction for next year. IDC gave us $200 last year, and that got us over the hump. So anything your buddy could give, would be greatly appreciated.

i'll swing by the machine shop a buddy of mine runs. he had the v-rod destroyer dragbike last year. he usually don't sponsor but if he's gonna register anyhowz

Footing most of the $1500 is going to be difficult this year. We did break even last year, but I would say 35 of the 53 cars were paid for at the door. So thats why we are being annoying this year and trying to get as many people to pay up front as possible. Also, we gave ourself a much smaller window of time this year. Last year we had a full 4 months to plan this once we posted on here. This year we only have 2, so its our fault too. |
