It was a monsoon here in Eldridge (very near the track) still thunder now. But should clear up in time to get some good running in this afternoon. The first few hours are taken with tech and drivers meetings usually anyway, so by the time the 2nd rungroup hits the track it should be clear. I will be heading over here in a minuet.

I'm making the call and going to work out in the garage instead. Have a few cabinets to hang. Also have a 3 day trip next weekend so It will save me some time cleaning the car.
Have fun guys.

Well, it turned out to be very nice out other than a lot of wind. Track dried up completely after the first run group went. I'll post some pictures / video later.

^^^^ what did your final time end up being? After fighting the front end pushing to no avail in my dads car I called it quits. The car is just to heavy on street tires to go into turns like that. I did end up getting a respectable time of 67.3XX my last run though. I wasnt pushing the car hard as I could of #1 because its not mine and #2 being the first time out I didnt feel like destroying something being dumb. Oh well, it is very fun to do though and my arms are SORE! I am used to going in a straight line!

I ended up with a best time of 65.4 which I was pretty happy with out of the BMW. Also only took out one cone the entire day, tagged one in the slalom on run #2.
My best run:
It really wasn't that wet out, I was one of the first handful of cars out on the track and this is what it looked like:
It was a lot of fun to get that car back on the track again, although I'll still bring the sprite out next time if I can.

Glad, the weather turned out nice for all who ended up going. Only wish it would have been nice to start with.

my best was 67.9 sumthing. I was running kumho all seasons and by the last half of my last run they were crazy greasy. Im going to stick with street tires i think but go with kumho xs or the new bridgestones.

^ WHat class was your car in? They could never figure out what to put ours in, they changed it like 3 times but I think we ended up in ST or something like that. If we had some better tires I think a high 64/65 was possible. I dont think we will do it again with those tires if we do it at all in that car.

Intended to go watch but cracked my radiator instead. Not meant to attend apparently.
