Chaos In Cordova Track Rental Gate Opens @ 8:00AM Racing Starts @ 9:00AM - 10:00AM (dependant on track conditions) Racing Ends @ 5:00PM (roughly.. could be later if it's still hoppin' that late) Costs and fees! $35 - Prepay For Members $40 - Prepay For Non-Members $45 - Day Of Event – Regardless Of Membership Status $5 - Spectators 10 Years Old + (Under 10 Is Free) The last day for pre-payment is October 31st. Anything after this is considered "Day of Event" $45 regardless of membership status Any make of car is welcome We have the track all day so the amount of potential runs you can get in is huge! That looks like a schedule my wife might agree too. Get there at the start, race for a couple of hours and then head home before the three kids drive her crazy (also not miss much college football). It is still a ways off, but I will put it on my calendar and see how things play out by then.
You did say all makes, so I will be driving my Jeep that day.

Yes any car/ truck is welcome, of course the track will do tech inspections as usual. But the SRT8 is definately welcome. Likely be some TBSS's for you to beat up on.

I'm still hoping to go, but the colder weather has introduced some serious knock issues in the Jeep (have to stay out of boost and WOT). I'm working with my tuner and still hope to get this ironed out before Saturday. Another guy from Peoria is planning to be there with his Bad A$$ Jeep (he ran a 10.910 a couple of week ago at Cordova before getting kicked out for not having a roll cage).
If my Jeep isn't ready, I may just come out and watch or might race the RS4 (seems really slow now after driving the Jeep). The Jeep hasn't run at the track since October 8th, so I'm itching to get back out there one more time before the season ends.

I'm thinking of making the trip. Doubt I'll run the car though. Maybe some issues will clear up later this week after I put new plugs in it, and go with a little hotter t-stat.

I'm thinking of making the trip. Doubt I'll run the car though. Maybe some issues will clear up later this week after I put new plugs in it, and go with a little hotter t-stat. why would someone want a hotter thermostat Because my car is constantly running at 165* and runs like shit at that temp. If there was actually stop and go traffic in my area, I'd probably be fine, and it'd get warmer. But, most of my driving is constant movement, so my car never really gets above 165*. I was reading on LS1Tech that the optimal temp for LSX's is anywhere from like 185-200*, and if it's colder than that, it may not burn all the fuel coming in. And, it's become pretty apparent to me, that it's happening in my car. It'll cut out in the higher RPM's when it's running ~165*. But, if I sit somewhere with it running, and it warms up to ~180* or so, it won't cut out. It'll pull strong all the way to 6700-6800rpm's. But, as soon as it's moving again, after about a minute or even less, it cools right back down to 165* and runs like crap again.

That's pretty much the consensus with most engines. 160F is just too cold. 180 should work ok but even a stock 195 would be fine as long as it stays under 220 during heavy load. What are your cooling fan temps set to in your tune?

your car simply needs retuned, ls will make more hp at 165 ON PUMP GAS, proper tune at 165 will yield more power
and thats a fact.
not forum BS

I'm still on a mail-order, because when I went to Speed Inc for my dynotune back in June, I had fuel issues, and was dropping pressure up top. Got that problem fixed, so now just fixing these other small issues popping up, then it's time for a dynotune. I've got the money set aside for it, just need to find the time, unless I get rid of the stupid money pit.

well we are in town and we could definately do your tune, on the dyno, and give you before and after charts. You would see definate gains.
