The first of many pics to come on my next shot at getting a project on the road. Loosely mocked up the 98 front end swap and checked out the hood on the truck for the first time. Definitely going to have to ditch the 96 bumper for a smooth one.

Here's my morning motivation pic for the blazer. Freshly rebuilt t56 with mgw shifter. Supposedly 15k mile gto, but after Moline transmission tore it down because of the flood we found 6th gear was smoked.

Let the parts gathering continue. After American speed checked out the block it needed a bore, so I guess pistons and rods were in order. Randy tells me a that with a turbo, forged rods and pistons are the right idea......

Yep that's the new story. Compared to the L92 swap I was considering it seems like there is a ton more power potential for the money. Hopefully short block should be done in a month or so.

Over a year later and a bunch of bumps in the road my blazer finally gets rolled indoors. Hopefully more updates to come.

Thanks Steve, we will talk skills when it is running & driving. Right now the patience factor is the major player. Slowly but surely. Swinging 9 inches.... Was hoping to have it back on the ground today but apparently axles came with 1/2" studs. If anyone knows where to get them locally with external threads for factory caps let me know. Found them online but it goes back to that patience thing. Mom wins best x-mas present this year with fuel rails. Thanks Mom!
