Any vortech = Good. How fast you want to go? Any Procharger = depends on who you ask Powerdyne = mine was fine while I had it on a 10 sec car, but the guy I bought the car from had the internal belt replaced with under 500 miles on it.
T88+ = the win.

I would look at an S-trim for a stockish motor. A T-Trim would be ideal, but you hurt it a little. ATI makes great stuff, but quite frankly they suck without an intercooler. ATI blowers usually push more air, but they are not as adiabatically efficient as the Vortech impellers. So basicaly if your going hot air stick with Vortech products and if your going intercooled go with ATI. While some people have succes with Powerdyne, the stories are few and far between. They also have difficulty launching hard due to the weak internal belt drive.
Vortech makes and kit for SBC with an S-Trim headunit for pretty cheap. Of course I would recommend picking up the head unit used seperatly and then buying the brackets from Vortech. I would also aviod their pressure box and just get a good blow through carb with bonnet, or convert whatever carb you have to blow through.

just for shits and giggles.....stock 350, decent heads, S-trim, non intercooled, excellent blow through carb, 2800 lb car, 3.07 gear 26" tires, turbo 400....... what do ya think it would run?

I think that you could get out and run faster than that. Hahaha. You need a 76mm or 88mm turbo, that is the secret to sucess.

Depending on the stall guys have seen 9 second passes with similar combos at with more weight. Everythings in the setup as you know.

As cool as I think turbos are, for the street and the concept of "keep it simple stupid" I dont think they apply very well.

The only simple things about blowers is you get real good at changing motors, head gaskets and all that fun stuff. Hey Rand Mcnally keep looking. Evey time I looked for a time I got lost. My car ended up with a TH 400, then sold.

Keeps the skills honed. I believe Ben is taunting you for never having gotten out of the 11s and goading me about all the engines Ive munched. In the 5.0L defense, no motor would have survived the trial of my stupidity. So in other words dont be discouraged by my example.

Hey Randy, dont be upset. I am just joking around. My jokes have nothing to do with who has ran what times. So dont think that I was being cocky about my times. Because all in all I think they are not all that great anyways.
