Bought it when I was living in Washington in August of 2009 (3 years already!?), traded in a 2000 FRC Corvette for it that I had for at least a couple years. It had 28k miles. Car was absolutely bone stock when I got it, having bought it at a dealership that took it as a trade from an older guy wanting a Subaru Forrester. It was a nice step up from the 00' FRC. Obviously not a HUGE difference in power...but the difference in handling and braking was nice. Also, the gearing...it didn't have much power but felt a LOT quicker due to the shorter gears. When I first got it: I had it for a little over a year, driving it completely stock. In that time, I purchased a B&B Bullet catback exhaust and not long after that an LG Motorsports Pro Longtube system with both high-flow cats and cat-delete pipes and all black ceramic coated. I sold the cats for $200 right away. I traveled all over the Northwest for work back then and the Longtubes ended up sitting in my buddies garage for months before I got around to arranging an install. When that day came...I took my chances loading up the ZO6 with all the exhaust parts and headed off to the shop. It was a tight squeeze...but it actually had a fair sized trunk. I left the car there for a week while I hit the road once again. Came back and got it tuned for 360hp/364rwtq. Absolutely loved the sound of it...sounds INSANE. Well, as close to a race car as I'll ever get anyway. But...I got use to it and started moving on.

I ended up moving to Iowa almost immediately after the exhaust work and tune. Drove it here for a bit and then the mod bug hit me again. At the end of last season I bought and installed a Halltech Venom II Air Intake. I ran the car at the track, with unimpressive times. A lot of 13.1's the first year. I was running on the 10yr old stock Goodyear F1 Supercars, so I decided to step it up a little and went with Nitto NT555 RII Drag Radials (275/45/17 and 305/45/18) I didn't want to sacrifice cornering so I went with the RII version with the stiffer sidewalls and slightly different compound. Impressive as hell...these things STICK. Corners have never been this much fun. Now I just need to can the stock seats so I don't have to use my elbows to keep myself in place. I hit the track with them last year and started out with the same 13.1's and sometimes higher. With some help from s8er01z, I started knocking the time down a bit. Nailed a 12.9, 12.7, and then a best of 12.587 at 112mph with a 1.981 60ft. No burnouts on them yet, and I need a LOT of practice. 60ft is nowhere even close to what the tires can do...but it was nice to see the time drop. Here is one of my drag videos in the cockpit with my GoPro cam. Never edited it...so enjoy the whooooooole thing. Anyway, I'm trying to get away from having the car be a garage queen since I moved back to Iowa. I enjoyed the car for quite a bit last year and did some drives with friends and made a few recordings with my Go Pro. Cruise to Galena last year. The obligatory "Corvette Museum" visit. Demo video right after I got my GoPro cam.

Thanks guys!!
I don't know about 11's, we'll see! Obviously more than capable with that setup, but I'm definitely taking it pretty easy this year until I get use to it. My only goal this season will be keeping it between the lines and shiny side up!

Cruise to Galena last year. Crazy to think all of the cars in that picture (well except mine) will be over 500rwhp this year. Nice thread, can't wait to see how it runs after the A&A kit goes on.

Are doing an 8 rib conversion? If not I would highly suggest it.

Are doing an 8 rib conversion? If not I would highly suggest it. Nope, nobody does it at the boost I'll be at that I'm aware of. If I go much higher though, definitely. I don't see that happening any time soon, if ever. Never can tell.

not trying to be a dick but why do you have drag radials all the way around?

they are the RII, its a road race stiff sidewall style tire, the R is the drag radial. They look similiar but are not the same.

not trying to be a dick but why do you have drag radials all the way around? Road course version. I like to rip around corners...HARD. There is a slight variation in the R compound, but the biggest difference is MUCH stiffer sidewalls. Obviously they won't be as good as the regular 555R's at the dragstrip, but it's an excellent all-around tire.

Just a small update while I'm waiting for the blower install. Only a month to go! ;D Test fitted the gauges to see how it looked and if I wanted to trade the 3gauge pillar for a dual gauge. The top gauge is kind of IN MY FACE, but I think I'll get use to it as long as the blue light from the Autometer Cobalt gauges isn't too bright.

It will be cool to see how the car responds to boost. Going to make a good car even better.

Thanks! When I talked to them today, it had put down just over 580rwhp before the fuel pressure started dropping at 5900rpm. They are going to put on a KB Boost A Pump in addition to the Lingenfelter unit that is on there now to get the fuel it needs and do some more tuning. We'll see where it ends up next week!

Boost should be at most 10psi, I think. I'll ask them when I call again today. I was really hoping to bring it out, going to see what my options are about getting it saturday yet...though it doesn't look good.

Looks like the car is in the shop for another week. Adding a Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump to the Lingenfelter unit that is already installed to cover fuel needs. Current power is at 581rwhp before fuel pressure starts dropping. Guess the waiting continues, not making it out with the car on the track rental.
